In line with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, Wild Cats Media has appointed a Grievance Officer for VivahLok.

What you can complain about

  • A profile, photo or message that is fake, abusive, obscene, impersonates someone, or breaks our Terms of Use;
  • your personal data, including requests to access, correct or erase it, or to withdraw consent;
  • a payment, plan or refund;
  • a decision we made about your account or content.

What to include

  • Your name and the email or phone number registered with VivahLok (if you are a member);
  • a clear description of the problem;
  • the profile ID or link of any member involved, and screenshots if you have them;
  • for a payment, the payment reference from your invoice.

How we handle it

  • We acknowledge every complaint within 24 hours and resolve it within 15 days of receiving it.
  • Complaints about content that exposes someone’s private areas, shows nudity or sexual acts, or impersonates someone (including morphed images) are acted on within 24 hours, and the content is removed or disabled.
  • We may ask you for more information, or to confirm your identity, before acting on a complaint about your account or data.

If you are not satisfied

If you are not satisfied with how we resolve a complaint about content or a decision under the IT Rules, you may appeal to the Grievance Appellate Committee at gac.gov.in within 30 days. For a complaint about your personal data, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India. For a consumer complaint, you may contact the National Consumer Helpline (1915, consumerhelpline.gov.in).
